8. Webinars, Live Events and Recordings

8.1 Scope. CrimsonSaguaro PAC hosts webinars, candidate appearances, appearances by public officials, interviews, and other live or recorded events, whether online or in person ("Events"). Candidates, public officials, and other invited guests who speak at an Event are "Speakers." If you register for, join, attend, or view an Event, or access any Event recording, you agree to these Terms, including this Section.

8.2 Candidate Appearances. Our candidate Events feature candidates whom CrimsonSaguaro PAC may support for office, including candidates recommended in our Golden Ticket voter guide. During primary elections, we may also host candidates seeking a party’s nomination. Featuring a candidate at an Event does not by itself mean that CrimsonSaguaro PAC recommends that candidate; our recommendations are published in the Golden Ticket voter guide. They give voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about their backgrounds and priorities. They are not press conferences, debates, or adversarial interviews, and they are not intended to make news. Any new announcement or position a candidate chooses to share is made at that candidate’s sole discretion. Unless an Event qualifies as a candidates’ forum under Arizona law, CrimsonSaguaro PAC reports the value of each candidate Event as required by Arizona campaign finance law. Candidates participate voluntarily and in good faith, and what they say at an Event is conversational and may be informal or partial. It is not a press statement or political advertisement and should not be presented as one.

8.3 Public Official Events. We may also host Events with public officials who are not candidates at the time. These Events focus on the official’s office, the work of government, and public issues affecting our community. They are not campaign events, and we do not use them to advocate for or against the official or any candidate. What an official says at these Events is conversational and should not be presented as a press statement or political advertisement.

8.4 Ownership of Event Content. All audio, video, images, transcripts, chat messages, slides, and other material from an Event ("Event Content") belong to CrimsonSaguaro PAC. Event Content is protected under Section 6 (Intellectual Property). The limited non-commercial use that Section 6 otherwise allows does not apply to Event Content.

8.5 Prohibited Uses. Without our prior written consent, you may not:

• Record, capture, screenshot, or stream any part of an Event by any means.

• Reproduce, broadcast, rebroadcast, publish, post, or distribute Event Content, in whole or in part. This applies to television, radio, podcasts, streaming services, websites, social media, and any other medium.

• Edit, clip, excerpt, splice, or rearrange Event Content, or present it out of context, in any way that misrepresents what a Speaker said or meant.

• Use Event Content, or a Speaker’s voice, image, or likeness from an Event, in political advertising, opposition research, fundraising, or any commercial purpose.

• Use Event Content to train artificial intelligence systems or to create synthetic or altered audio, video, or images.

8.6 News Media. These restrictions apply fully to journalists, news organizations, broadcasters, publishers, bloggers, podcasters, and anyone attending on their behalf. Members of the media who wish to attend an Event must identify themselves to us in advance. Requests to use Event Content must be made in writing. Any permission we grant will also be in writing and may be limited in scope. It may require the use of complete and unedited excerpts and attribution to CrimsonSaguaro PAC. Media seeking comment or a news statement from a Speaker should contact that Speaker’s campaign or office directly.

8.7 Fair and Complete Use. Any permission we grant to use Event Content will be limited to complete, unedited excerpts that fairly represent what was said, and will be applied in the same way to every Speaker who participated in the Event. CrimsonSaguaro PAC alone decides whether to grant permission.

8.8 Our Recordings. CrimsonSaguaro PAC may record Events and publish those recordings on the Site and our other channels, but we are not required to publish any recording. By participating, you consent to the recording and publication of your name, image, voice, questions, and chat submissions.

8.9 Enforcement. Unauthorized use of Event Content causes irreparable harm to CrimsonSaguaro PAC and to participating Speakers, and money damages alone may not be an adequate remedy. If this Section is violated, we may do any or all of the following, in addition to any other remedy available under law:

• seek injunctive relief;

• issue takedown notices, including under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act;

• recover our reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs;

• remove or bar any person from current or future Events, without notice or refund.

• The Indemnification section of these Terms applies to any violation of this Section.
